The con rod is one of the weakest parts of the GX range of engines. Fitting a billet con rod offers increased strength and enables your engine to rev higher. In addition we also offer a longer billet con rod which increases performance.
The GX160 engine does not require an upgrade to the piston as it already has a flat top piston fitted, however the GX200 engine uses a dished piston. Fitting one of our Tier 2 or Tier 3 Flat Top Pistons will increase compression in your GX200 engine and as a result increase power.

Tier 3 Flat Top Piston for GX200 Engine
Tier 3 Flat Top Piston (approx. 158 to 160 Grams).
Piston is a direct swap to the very popular Honda Tier 2 Flat Top Piston
Increases the compression ratio when compared to the original dished piston.
Genuine Honda Part that we have then modified. The original skirt has been shortened by machining to be identical with the Tier 2 Piston skirt.
Requires the thinner UT1 Piston Rings (0.96 mm, Part Number 13010-Z4M-003) which give you a winning edge by drastically reducing piston ring drag.

Genuine Honda Tier 3 Flat Top Piston
This is the very latest piston from Honda found in the most recent GX160 UT1 Engines, known as the T3 Piston. The skirt of the piston is shorter than that of the previous GX160 UT1 Piston, however it is approximately 4 grams heavier.
The T3 Piston uses the same Piston Rings as the UT1 Piston, Part Number 13010-Z4M-003.
