The carburetor is a key component in any spark-ignition engine. It works by mixing fuel and air together to create a combustible mixture that can be drawn into the engine cylinders and ignited. There are many different parts to a carburetor, all of which work together to ensure the correct mixture is delivered to the engine. The storage chamber holds the fuel that will be mixed with air, while the intakes draw in air from outside. The accelerator pumps help to deliver the correct amount of fuel to the engine cylinders. While most street-legal vehicles have now switched to fuel injectors, carburetors are still commonly used on karts and bikes. This is due to their simplicity, low cost and ability to provide good performance in a wide range of conditions.

GX200 bored-out and circuitry-reworked carburetor. Venturi 16.5mm (.650mm). 100% bolt-on. Approximately .05 to 0.75hp more than a stock carb, depending on application. Recommended for open motors requiring a stock-appearing carb. Choke is removed.
*Notes: These are OEM Honda (Keihin) cores. They produce .2 to .3 more HP than equivalent (bored) aftermarket carbs.
This carb is recommended for high RPM applications (some loss of low end). Use our .625 carb for applications requiring good torque and midrange along with easy starting.

Bored & Blueprinted Genuine Honda Carburetor - GX200
New .615 Genuine Honda carb for Chinese OHV racing classes, bored and blueprinted to meet Chinese OHV .615 bore specs. These carbs meet the dimensional specs, but will outperform the Chinese carbs. Circuitry is reworked to enhance low end performance.
SA Extreme, Large Butterfly Carburetor
Extensively modified, stock-appearing GX200/6.5 OHV Clone carb that produces the most HP possible utilizing a stock carb body.
In addition to having the largest Venturi area of any of our other bored carbs, the butterfly size has been significantly increased to provide 60% more airflow than a stock carb. Fuel circuits and jets have been reworked to maintain proper mixture. Choke is removed
Venturi is CNC-milled and oval-shaped to maximize volume and velocity. Equivalent bore size (area) is greater than a .670" bore.
Stage 2 carbs will have some internal or external epoxy. However, they flow slightly better than stage 3 carbs.
Dyno testing shows these carbs to produce up to 1hp more than a standard bored (stock butterfly) carb and over 2hp more than a stock carb with only marginal loss in low-end and idle quality.

For out-of-the-box applications, it is proven to be the best carb we have. However, compared to the flat slides, it does not have the same tuning capability.

Carb Kit - 390 Carb to GX200 (GX160), 6.5 Chinese OHV
This carburetor kit has a GX390 carb with a special adapter and fixed jet. It includes all gaskets, bolts, filter adapter, jet, and an air filter. The special design eliminates the insulator. The carb is mounted at 15 degrees for karts using 15 degree mounts.
If using a flat motor mount, then "Flat Mount Adapter Kit" must be added (sold separately). Part Number NR-390FLATADAP
*Note: Bored carbs are only recommended for big bores and extreme RPM engines. Under most circumstances, a stock bore carb will perform better.

The Baddest Option for GX200s and Chinese OHVs
Kit includes manifold/adapter, air filter, air filter adapter/velocity stack, hose, and clamps. Note: this is a square slide carb, which is far superior to the cheap round slide Mikunis.
Comes with a jet kit, but some tuning and/or jet changes may be required
A 28mm gas carb is only recommended for serious big bores and strokers. Most applications will do better with the 24mm gas carb
